A ball is now Out-Of-Bounds when it comes to rest beyond the timber fence along the Verge property to the right of the 10th fairway. The timber fence and the low concrete garden wall now join the property boundary wire fences as course Boundary Objects. Free relief is NOT allowed from Boundary Objects.
Note: The protective netting, netting support posts and concrete pads are Immovable Obstructions from which free relief IS available if they interfere with a player’s area of intended stance or area of intended swing (Rule 16.1a).
The Local Rules are amended as follows:
LOCAL RULES
OUT OF BOUNDS: (Rule 2) Those areas beyond (a) the line of white stakes with black tops to the right of the 9th fairway, (b) the low concrete wall and timber fence to the right of the 10th fairway, and (c) the concrete path marked with black and white lines behind the 9th green, including the practice green, clubhouse and pro shop areas also defined with black and white lines. When a player’s ball has not been found or is known or virtually certain to be Out-of-Bounds, the player may proceed under the Stroke and Distance Local Rule for a penalty of two strokes, rather than proceeding under Stroke and Distance, unless otherwise noted in Conditions of Play for an event. This Local Rule is not available if a provisional ball has been played. See Local Rules Board and Conditions of Play for full details.
