We are pleased to announce that the golf course and clubhouse will reopen on Tuesday 18 March.
This would not have been possible without the remarkable efforts of our Superintendent – Darryl Edwards, the ground staff team, and over 60 volunteers who worked tirelessly to clear the course after Cyclone Alfred. External tree contractors have also been on-site all week, helping to remove large fallen trees.
Final Volunteer Push – Monday 17 March
To ensure the course is in the best possible shape for reopening, we are asking for one last volunteer effort on Monday at 8am. If you are available, please meet Darryl Edwards in front of the clubhouse – there is still work to be done on the front nine.
Course Conditions & Temporary Local Rules
The parking area in front of buggy sheds F, D, C, and B are full of large branches and debris awaiting mulching. Members can still access carts, but no parking is available in this area.
There are many piles of natural material awaiting removal. These are to be treated as Ground Under Repair (GUR) with free relief to be taken under Rule 16.1.
A Temporary Local Rule will be in effect relating to Storm damage for large trees and tree branches (attached and not attached). These areas are No Play Zones with free relief to be taken under Rule 16.1f.
All bunkers will be GUR until they are properly prepared for play.
Following close to 500mm of rain the golf course is drying out thanks to some much needed sunshine. Cart restrictions will be determined on Tuesday morning based on course conditions.
We appreciate your patience and support during this time and look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 18 March!
