Women’s Membership

Burleigh is a great supporter of women’s golf. We offer a variety of membership options including Full, Full/Conditional, 6-Day and Youth Memberships. New members are always welcome and we offer a pathway for beginners to develop the skills and experience required to enjoy the full experience of club membership.

Please note, there is currently a waiting list for all membership categories, excluding Juniors and Cadets.

Beginner Golf Pathway

Burleigh Golf Club, with the help of our fantastic team of PGA Professionals, offer a beginner golf pathway for women of all ages and abilities.

Level 1 is an 8-week beginner program that introduces the key skills of golf in a group format.

• Weeks 1-6 consist of a weekly 60 minute group coaching session that focuses on key skill and technique development for long term success and enjoyment.
• Weeks 7-8 consist of on-course play with a mentor from the Burleigh Golf Club women’s membership, focusing on pace of play, basic rules, scoring and etiquette.

Following the successful completion of the Level 1 program, women are invited to join as a Burleigh Birdie Social Member. This provides new golfers the opportunity to play the golf course on a regular basis. Level 2 group coaching sessions are also recommended to further develop skills and promote ongoing improvement, these sessions are booked through the Pro Shop.

• To join as a Burleigh Birdie you must complete the Level 1 program, irrespective of prior experience
• Apply online and pay a $125 annual fee at reception (not pro-rata)
• Online bookings are available in the designated Burleigh Birdie tee times on Tuesdays from 12-12:30pm.
• Burleigh Birdies use our Score49 tee system. 9-hole green fee payable – $25
• Access to the course at other times is only available when invited to play as a Member’s Guest. 9-hole green fee payable – $35
• Burleigh Birdies are not eligible to play in competition times, including as a Member’s Guest or Visitor
• Burleigh Birdies cannot be a member of another golf club or are permitted to transfer a handicap from another club

Beginner Golf Pathway

Applying for 6-Day Membership

• To join the Burleigh Golf Club all new applicants are required to join the membership waiting list by applying online and paying a $200 non-refundable application fee (this will be deducted from your joining fee when a membership offer is made).
• Following the successful completion of the Level 1 program we recommend golfers aim to reach the Score49 yellow tees as a benchmark for progressing to 6-Day membership and club competitions over 18 holes
• Burleigh Golf Club currently has over 550 applicants on the waitlist. For more information regarding expected waiting times please speak to Club reception
• As a Burleigh Golf Club member you will have full access to the golf course, facilities and competitions relevant to your category of membership
